My love of storytelling extends far beyond my professional life; I have spent decades crafting personal essays, poetry and narratives — some of which have been featured in print publications, literary websites, educational websites, and more. Arrowhead Hunting is a personal essay I wrote about my mother, and it was featured at LiteraryMama.com. My poem, At the Rendezvous, was published in an intercultural educational e-journal. I won a local award in Cheyenne, Wyoming, for Sorrow to 5K, a narrative piece I wrote about losing my father and becoming a runner.
