Blogs & Ads

Blogs for Colorado State University

I am currently the content strategy manager of the CSU Admissions blog. The blog serves a massive audience seeking information and inspiration to make an informed college decision. I work with nearly every department and academic program on campus (this is nearly 100 different teams), consistently researching and interviewing students, alumni, parents, and professors to craft content.

I also manage two blog writers and recruit students, parents, and staff to write guest blogs for us. I’ve created several recurring blog series, including a student voices series written for students by students: How I Chose My Major. Another series, State-of-the-Art Spaces, takes me and a photographer around campus to showcase and highlight CSU’s academic spaces.

Blogs for Sierra Outdoor

One of my favorite tasks as a Senior Copywriter at Sierra was writing informational, engaging blogs to help shoppers and inspire them to try new things. Blog writing for Sierra involved a deep dive into both experiential storytelling and product-focused informational content. My blog on Ouray, Colorado, was a top performer on Facebook, achieving the highest number of click-throughs on record. My hiking blog was among our top performers on Twitter.

Infographics & Digital Ads

Below are examples of digital assets from Sierra I worked on. These were used in various places on the website, partner sites, in ads, and beyond. I created the concepts and copy, then collaborated with designers and photographers to finalize these pieces. I also pitched and presented the concept for the “Redefine Screen Time” campaign. This started as a digital ad and then became a catalog cover, postcard, and part of a larger digital movement for Sierra. When leadership approved the concept, we took models and tents into the mountains and photographed our 'screen' (i.e., the screen of a tent). I’m proud to say my headline changed it all.
