Strategy has always been the foundation of my work — even when the deliverable was content.
I’ve spent my career creating content strategy and executing that content to strengthen brands and voices, connect with audiences, and support a variety of goals. It all started with a passion for words and nailing brand voice … until I realized good content can’t do its job if it’s not a part of a larger strategic plan.
And, while I’ll always be a writer at heart, I don't often take big risks with copy or content until it’s grounded in research, data, and real conversations with the people we're trying to reach. I also realize that every once in a while, it’s OK to take a risk when you don’t have piles of data behind it — because someone has to be the first to try the thing. I want to work on teams that aren't afraid to do that.
I believe a good story sticks with people, and it’s the best way to be heard, seen, and felt in a noisy world of marketing. I love the way good storytelling intersects with thorough research, a little number crunching, and stellar strategy. I don’t think any of that can be done without learning new things, and collaborating with smart people to make the good work better.
This portfolio highlights a selection of writing, campaign, and brand work throughout my career. It represents the finished pieces in front of the research and planning. But the strategy behind the content is where I thrive. I was meant to do this, and I do it with my whole self.
